Barcelona  Latest Transfer Rumours on Nelson Semedo


Barcelona have reportedly held talks with Benfica regarding right-back Nelson Semedo, but what they're willing to pay for him falls well short of the Portuguese club's valuation.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola (h/t Sport), the two clubs have discussed a move for Semedo—who has a €60 million release clause—and even though Benfica want €10 million less than that, it is still "a figure Barca wouldn't even think about paying."

Likewise, the Catalan giants would not agree to part with youngsters Jordi Mboula and Marc Cucurella as part of any deal.

Right-back is a key area in need of strengthening at the Camp Nou this summer with Barca yet to adequately replace Dani Alves.

Jan Hagen of Sport Witness hailed Semedo's campaign last year and relayed quotes from the 23-year-old's former mentor Helder Cristovao, who believes the player would be a natural fit at Barcelona:

Real Madrid are reportedly considering the possibility of re-signing Achraf Hakimi just a year after selling him to Inter Milan. According to a report from Spanish publication  El Gol Digital , reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid are keen on bringing Achraf Hakimi back to the club from Serie A giants Inter Milan.
